In Work Support
At Autistic Minds, we believe that everyone has the right to work.
Furthermore, everyone should have the opportunity to pursue a career that is fulfilling & enables them to use their skills and talents to positively contribute to society.
However, having a disability often means that not everyone receives equal opportunities and, due to the additional challenges that they may have to face, they may be passed over for roles that, with the right support & accommodations, they would be able to excel in.
Whilst everyone is different, being autistic can mean having academic & vocational strengths but also difficulty with other aspects such as social & sensory elements of the work environment. This can make work a very challenging place for some.
Autistic Minds understand this very well & our exceptional staff are able to draw upon decades of personal & profession experience to provide specialist in-work support to reduce or eliminate individual challenges. This allows the employee to focus on the skills that they possess and allows them to truly succeed in their role.
Through the publicly funded employment support grant scheme Access to Work, anyone with a disability or health condition can get the support needed to thrive in their career. Specialising in supporting autistic adults, Autistic Minds provides individualised and specialist employment support packages to meet each individual’s workplace needs & provide them with the same opportunities that the rest of the workforce has.
Our workplace support packages provide a huge range of benefits to both the employee and the employer. The employee is supported to thrive and achieve in a role which provide them with confidence and self-esteem to continue to develop their skills whilst the employer is able to retain a talented member of staff, fostering their growth and supporting a diverse workforce.
